(She does NOT need to know your choice for a main dish). Thanks!
2. *Communications*
I am planning on issuing the first monthly bulletin of the year towards the end of next week, after the board meeting. If anyone** has items to be included please e-mail them to me as soon as possible.
Remember that the monthly bulletin will go out by regular e-mail ie not via the IAC Yahoo group and so will reach people who do not subscribe to the yahoo group.
There are quite a number of people who are not receiving the bulletins via Yahoo even though they are subscribed. This may be because they changed their e-mail addresses and not alerted the membership officer or some other reason. I have no way of contacting these people and assume that when/if they renew their membership the subject will be addressed.
Who works for or whose spouse works for a major international company here in Santiago? If you are willing to get the word out about IAC in "your" company please let me know. Same for "your"
embassy.
3. *Operational and Charitable Fund Raising*
One of the reasons that we are able to keep our membership fees the same for the fourth year in row is that we have five operational fundraisers during the year to help us meet our expenses -
a Murder Mystery dinner in March, two Garage Sales in April and October, our Silent Auction in September and our Christmas Bazaar in December.
The Noche de Ayudarte Art Show is our one major fundraiser for our charity/social service projects.
Surprise, surprise - we need volunteers to make these work!! Kathi Bubb is the Fundraiser Coordinator for the IAC board and would value your assistance for one or more of these events. Those who have worked on them in the past know that there is great satisfaction in a job well done. Please contact Kathi for more information -kathi@santiagochurch.org or 233-7557.
Noche de Ayudarte, to be held on May 6, needs workers, too - contact Kristel Leonard at kristelleonard@yahoo.com.
4. *Board position available!!*
*T*he *House Coordinator* position is still available and is a very important role so please do consider joining us ** and contribute to making this a fun, caring and successful organization. The last job holder, Kathi Bubb is still around and will give you lots of help..what have you got to lose, apart from missing
out on the company of a diverse and dynamic bunch of women, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
Contact President Pat Hodges for more information. rlmthodges@yahoo.com
4. *House opening schedule.*
The IAC House is open throughout the summer on Thursdays from 11:00am - 2:00pm, so drop in to get book for yourself and your children (did you know that we also have some children's books?), DVDs for those long summer nights and to renew your membership - only $42.000 for the fourth year in a
