IAC Advertising Policy

Advertising on the Website

The IAC website will be used to promote the businesses of those who support the Noche de AyudArte and the Silent Auction, as well as others who make financial or in-kind contributions, by listing them on the appropriate pages of the website. Businesses may also pay to have their products and services advertised on the website.  All paid advertising on the website will run for the calendar year.

 Advertising at the IAC House

Only members of the IAC and those businesses that have sponsored an event (Silent Auction, Noche de AyudArte, etc.) will be allowed to put out printed materials in the IAC House.  Businesses that sponsor an event can have their materials in the house for one year after their donation has been given to the IAC. The Building Manager may look through the advertising materials four times a year to keep those items current.

Advertising on the Yahoo Group

The Yahoo Group is not to be used to advertise businesses.  IAC  members may make one-time recommendations of a business that they have used, and may send one email a year to let other members know about his/her own business.

Advertising at IAC events

Businesses that support the IAC through donations, as well as IAC members, may leave printed materials on a table at IAC events.  Special promotions and deals from sponsoring businesses and members will NOT be announced by the presenter of the IAC events, unless specifically approved by the board.

Policy for Property Disposal

Articles which are purchased by or donated to the International Association of Chile become the property of the IAC. This property is an Association resource and is held for use by members for official IAC purposes. Efforts should be made to conserve, preserve and protect these resources. Members using IAC property have an obligation to keep it in good condition and to safeguard it against harm. Property which has value, but is not longer of use to the IAC, can be disposed of in a manner which benefits the treasury of the organization – by sale, auction, raffle, trade-in - or as a donation to an approved charity. Such disposal shall be in an open forum, well publicized, and in a manner which is non-preferential and non-prejudicial. Property which has nominal value, or no value, can be disposed of at the discretion of the Board.
