The Drama of the River Plate

At the end of October, the British Commonwealth Society is organising a presentation of the stage play “The Drama of the River Plate”. This examines the reasons why Captain Hans Langsdorff (perceived as something of a hero) of the German Navy scuttled his pocket battleship the Graf Spee outside Montevideo in December 1939 and later took his own life. It will be performed by actors from Montevideo.

The proposed dates for these performances are as follows: - Tuesday 25th October at The Grange School (19.30 hrs.) in Santiago - Friday 28th October at The Mackay School in Viña del Mar.
